L. Morrison, MS, RD, LDN
Ellen is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN). She moved from South Florida to North Carolina in 1997. Ellen founded ELM Wellness in the triangle area in April 1998. She has extensive experience working with women and adolescents who suffered with eating disorders, as she was the Chief Clinical Dietitian for The Renfrew Center in Florida. Along with her private practice, Ellen was the dietitian at Carolina House in Durham, North Carolina. She has worked with over 1000 individuals with eating disorders and weight issues. Ellen is the author of the core nutrition course required for certification by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals. With Ellen's strong background and work experience, she can help anyone achieve nutritional changes to improve their health.

While starting ELM Wellness, Ellen was the Dietitian for the Rex Wellness Center in Raleigh. At Rex she co-facilitated their weight management program and counseled individuals for medical nutrition therapy and sports nutrition.
Prior to moving to North Carolina, Ellen was the Chief Clinical Dietitian at The Renfrew Center in Florida, an internationally known women's mental healthcare center specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. While employed there, she had the opportunity to counsel over 500 women and adolescents who were struggling with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder or compulsive overeating.
Other experiences include educating the public and health professionals through nutrition presentations and courses and working with food service professionals to develop menus and analyze recipes.
Ellen graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. She earned her Master’s Degree at Meredith College, in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Ellen is a member of International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, American Dietetic Association, Sports Cardiovascular And Wellness, Behavioral Health Nutrition, and local Dietetic Associations.
Ellen is co-owner of the North Carolina Triangle Network of Eating Disorder Professionals.
